Its a very useful book if you are doing research in to welsh property and you want to know the history of the welsh style of building, which is very different to the various English styles which there are many, It is also a good social book as well as it gives an in site in to how Welsh farms used to operate before industrialization of the welsh coal mine and Slate quarry's of North Wales as well5/5(3). When this book was first published in it was at once enthusiastically received by scholars and the general public alike and recognized as a classic of its genre. It represented a notable publication of the early fruits of the Commission's work on the side of its responsibility for the National Monuments Record for Wales.
